Sylhet Bike Trip

First bike ride to Sylhet

I have been lying on the sofa for almost an hour. But there is no sign of sleep. I’m worried about the Bike Trip that if I don’t sleep at all, then I may have to face a lot of trouble on the way. But in excitement sleep didn’t come.

I didn’t realize when it was 2.30 am. Then I decided not to sleep. Because of this, our ride start time was fixed to 4 am.

Beginning of the Bike Trip to Sylhet

At 3.45 am I started the bike engine and said, Bismillah. Anamul Bhai wished me good luck with the ride. I started the bike and left to pick up Saleh Bhai. Bhai was waiting for me. I just picked him up and rode to Sylhet Road. Fog attacked when we reached at Demra Staff Quarter. As the visor of the helmet was not anti-fog, it fogged up after a while. Because of this, I could not see anything else. Somehow I was forced to raise the visor. Now the eyes only have a night vision glass. This is my first night bike ride in the fog.

Somehow my only hope is the backlight of the truck or pickup in front. I am following that backlight. Through the fog, the moon peeps into the sky to the left. That partner for now. Because Saleh Bhai was frozen in winter. After riding about 85 km, I took the Fajr brake. After finishing the Fajr Salah, I stopped at Jannat Restaurant because Saleh Bhai was hungry. Had breakfast there and waited till sunrise and left again. After crossing the Bhairav Bridge, the fog came again. This is how our journey to Sylhet went.

When we reached Sylhet

When reached Sylhet, it was around noon.

We passed a light traffic jam through the city and went to Airport Road. Because now our destination is Bholaganj Sadapathar. We reached Bholaganj Sada Pathar at about 1.30 pm with a tea break on the way. We have enjoyed the clear water of Sada Pathar. Then we left for Sylhet city. We reached Sylhet City at evening 6 pm. We were very tired. We just take some food. Then we entered our booked room and lay on the bed for tied sleep.

Second Day of the Sylhet trip

I got up shortly before Fajr Azan. Just took some time to fresh, and got ready for the marathon. In the meantime, Maruf Bhai came to take us. When reached in front of the Palash Hotel, we saw two double-decker buses. We got on the bus and stood on the second floor, Saleh bhai and I. The bus left a little late. Went and stopped a little ahead of the airport. The starting point was about one and a half kilometers away from there.

The marathon also started about forty-five minutes late. The thought of being forced to back to Dhaka and join the class had to be dropped from my mind. However, after finishing the 10+ km run, I still had time to back to Dhaka. I happily informed Saleh Bhai that he should take preparation. But I left the plan to return to Dhaka, because of the rest marathon program.

I took a shower after returning to the hotel. I saw that Saleh Bhai had also arrived. I informed him that we would stay in Sylhet today and Insha Allah, we would visit Srimangal, and Satchari tomorrow and then return to Dhaka. In the meantime, when Sami Bhai came, I informed him also that we were not going today.

Exploring Sylhet City by Bike

After lunch, Sami Bhai appeared at three o’clock in the afternoon. We went out with Bhai. Brother with his crazy horse (4V) in front of us. And I follow him on my bike. Bhai first took us to the tea garden owned by Ragib Ali. Many Sylheti have not been able to enter it because they did not know the secret way to enter this tea garden. After riding there for about fifteen minutes, he said that there was still a long way to go. Meanwhile, as it was evening. We left from there without going the rest of the way to the place called Amtal. After going there, we perform Maghrib Salah. We came out after the salah and did not go back in because it was getting dark. Then we went to the airport road.

On the way back from Sylhet

After the Marathon day, we woke up at Fajr. And checked out from the hotel. We take the road to Dhaka via Shamshernagar, Srimangal, and Satchari. We took lots of pictures there. And enjoyed every moment of the ride. We reached Dhaka in the evening.
